Miss Diamond Lakes wins talent award at pageant

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Miss Diamond Lakes has won the Preliminary Artistic Expression in Talent award during the second night of this year's Miss Arkansas pageant in Hot Springs.

Amy Crain won the award for her contemporary clogging routine to "GameTime." She's from Hot Springs and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Also Thursday, Miss Heart of the Ozarks Tracy Neal won the Preliminary Presence and Poise in Evening Gown, while Miss Texarkana Klancy Johnson won the Lifestyle and Fitness in Swimsuit preliminary award.

Neal is a graduate student at the University of Arkansas, while Johnson is a student at Texarkana College.

Each of the winners took home an $800 scholarship.

Preliminaries continue Friday with the final competition set for Saturday night at Summit Arena in Hot Springs.
