Channel 7 News has learned that the missing father and baby from Greenwood have been found dead.
In a press conference late Tuesday afternoon, Yell County Sheriff Bill Gilkey said the bodies of 33-year-old Brian Floyd and his 10-month-old son Harper were found earlier in the afternoon.
Police have not released details about where the bodies were discovered and what condition they were in, but said both were transported to the state crime lab. An ambulance was seen leaving the search area shortly before 4:00, and the truck belonging to Floyd was towed away just after 4:30.
The pair have been missing since Friday. They were last seen in the Ouachita mountains area south of Blue Mountain Lake.
21-year-old Brooke Floyd, who is the wife of Brian and mother of Harper, was arrested over the weekend for hindering apprehension and child endangerment. Gilkey said she is still in police custody Tuesday, but no new charges have been filed.
During the search, police were informed that the father had a history of mental issues. A family member also told police that Floyd had been having issues with his medications.
The search for the missing father and infant intensified Monday after the green pickup truck they were traveling in was found in a remote area off Forest Service Road 18 in a "very treacherous area".
Gilkey said in a press conference Monday that Brian Floyd had a history as an outdoorsman and had spent a lot of time in the woods. Gilkey had said he felt the baby could be in danger, and that Brian Floyd should be "treated as armed and dangerous, as a precaution to the public".
