Nat'l GOP group launches anti-Pryor website
LITTLE ROCK (AP) - A national Republican group has launched a website criticizing Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor as he faces a tough re-election fight next year.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee on Tuesday announced it had created a new site - www.obamacomesfirst.com - focusing on the two-term lawmaker. Pryor is running for re-election against Republican U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton next year.
The site accuses Pryor of being too closely allied with President Barack Obama and criticizes his votes on health care, the stimulus and other issues. Pryor's campaign manager criticized the site as "nothing more than recycled misinformation."
The state Democratic Party earlier this month launched a site, www.meettomcotton.com , that criticized Cotton as reckless for his votes on student loans, disaster relief and other issues.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press.
