New athletic competition coming to Toad Suck Daze
CONWAY (Log Cabin) - Toadally challenging, a new athletic competition coming to Toad Suck Daze.
With the official opening of the Toad Store Friday morning, event organizers were hopping with joy at the announcement of a new competition coming to the festival.
Arvest Bank and Crain Buick, GMC, Kia are co-sponsoring a new athletic competition called the Arvest/Crain Toad Suck Challenge, which will involve an inflatable obstacle course and cash prizes.
"It's a large military obstacle course," said Lori Melton, Arvest central Arkansas vice president of business development. "It's inflatable. If you've seen the TV show 'Wipe Out,' it's going to be along that line. It will have a water feature. Since we don't have a body of water it won't be exactly like 'Wipe Out,' but it is a large military-style inflatable with rope swings and climbing walls."
