NORTH LITTLE ROCK - The rule of no alcohol sales in Park Hill stood for more than 50 years, but when it was put to a special vote in 2013, it wasn't even close.
More than 80% of voters in Tuesday's election said "yes" to alcohol sales at restaurants, bars and convenience stores.
North Little Rock's Chamber of Commerce says the yes vote should spur more growth in the area because some businesses have said no to moving to a neighborhood without alcohol sales.
The issue passed by more than 80% in all precincts, with three passing it by more than 85%. In precinct 4M nearly 89% of voters said yes.
