Nuns' flag again stolen from Jonesboro convent

JONESBORO (AP) - Once again, the flag is missing from the Holy Angels Convent in Jonesboro.

Sister Henrietta Hockle says the flag representing the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters was taken this week from outside their convent. It's the third time in recent years that someone has swiped the nuns' flag.

Hockle tells The Jonesboro Sun that the flag features three mountains reminiscent of Switzerland, where the nuns came from when they immigrated to northeast Arkansas. Hockle says she suspects the culprits are college students pulling pranks.

She says the flag is important to the Olivetan Benedictine Sisters' heritage and they'd like it back.
