Okla. woman pleads guilty to role in Ark. death
TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - An Oklahoma woman has entered a guilty plea to a kidnapping charge related to the death of a man whose body was dumped at a southwest Arkansas speedway.
Federal prosecutors said Friday that 38-year-old Crystal Lynn Larcade of Broken Bow, Okla., will be sentenced later.
Larcade and her husband, Leslie Bruce Larcade, were indicted on kidnapping and kidnapping resulting in death charges in January 2012 for the death of 45-year-old Shannon Deval Watkins. Leslie Larcade is to be tried next month. Crystal Larcade faces a sentence of up to life in prison.
Watkins' body was found in August 2011. He had a trash bag on his head, a noose around his neck and he'd been stabbed.
Prosecutors allege that the Larcades kidnapped Watkins from Oklahoma to collect a $1,000 bounty.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
