One more arrested in Searcy murder

The Searcy Police Department made a fourth arrest in the Zachary Mitchell homicide that occurred on Oct. 23 on Langley Drive in Searcy.
Sherod Shockley, 22, was arrested in Searcy on the charge of capital murder. Shockley is being held at the White County Law Enforcement Center with no bond, awaiting formal charges by Prosecuting Attorney Chris Raff's office.
The case is still under investigation.
(KATV) Searcy - The Searcy Police Department made two arrests Thursday in relation to the murder of Zachary Mitchell.
On Sunday, October 23, police were called to an office building off Langley Drive at about 8:20 p.m. after friends found 24-year-old Mitchell on the floor with a gunshot wound to the chest. Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mitchell worked there as a janitor to make extra money at Nephrology Associates dialysis facility, it's the medical office his mom worked at during the week. His 3-year old son Keegan would have been with him, but he fell asleep early.
On October 24, Ross Wood, 20, of Searcy was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery in connection with the Zachary Mitchell homicide Ross was a friend of the victim and knew his family.
Thursday, Maurice Andre Alexander, Jr., 20, was arrested in Searcy on the charge of capital murder. Devonte Tre Nelson, 19, was arrested in Lenexa, Kansas by the Lenexa Police Department on an unrelated charge of burglary. Nelson was questioned by detectives from the Searcy Police Department and was subsequently arrested for capital murder.
Nelson is currently being held in Lenexa, Kan., with no bond. Alexander is currently being held at White County Law Enforcement Center with no bond.
Both are awaiting formal charges by Prosecuting Attorney Chris Raff's office.
This case is still under investigation.
This is the first murder in the city since January of 2008.
