Pair arrested in pharmacy robbery

BENTON (KATV) - Early on Sunday morning, police were called to the Walgreen's pharmacy at 702 Military Road, to a reported armed robbery.

Witnesses SAID a man had jumped the pharmacy counter around 3:00 a.m. and pulled a knife demanding drugs.

Lt. Jeff Kling and other officers responded and found James Miller,22, inside the business and attempted to arrest him. Miller ran out of the business but was quickly apprehended by Lt. King.

Miller is charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, carrying a weapon and fleeing, among other charges.

A second man, 26-year-old Christopher Ahrendt, was charged as being the getaway driver, and arrested in Grant County.
