Patient seeks monetary damages against Ark. doctor

PARAGOULD, Ark. (AP) - A 23-year-old Arkansas woman, who authorities say a Paragould doctor snapped nude photos of during a gynecology examination, has filed a lawsuit against the medical practitioner.{}{} {}The civil complaint filed on Thursday seeks monetary damages against 68-year-old Dr. Paul Becton, who already faces felony charges of video voyeurism. State police say investigators found numerous images of nude women, including the plaintiff, on Becton's cell phone.{}{} {}The complaint also alleges outrageous conduct and medical malpractice by Becton. He was arrested earlier this week at a Newport motel, but released on Thursday evening after posting bond. His bail was set at $500,000 in court.{}{} {}Prosecuting attorney Scott Ellington says Becton paid his bond through a commercial bonding company and had surrendered his passport to authorities.{}{} {}Becton's attorney didn't return calls seeking comment Friday.
