Pelicans make a pit stop on Lake Conway
CONWAY - The winter migration season in Arkansas is marked by the beginning of duck season, but on Lake Conway a bird of a different feather appeared.
Channel 7 viewer Susan Lunday snapped these pretty pictures of a flock of pelicans and sent them to us on Friday.
Susan says the birds didn't stick around long, and that may be because they were in unfamiliar territory. Susan says it's the first time she's seen pelicans on Lake Conway, and we're told they usually migrate down the Mississippi flyway on their way to the Gulf Coast or Central or South America.
