Say Go College week teaches teens about financial aid & college applications

Some high school students are getting pepped up for filling out college applications.

Students at Hall High School in Little Rock kicked off Say Go College week at a pep rally with the help of the governor. This week is designed to educate teens on the importance of college as well as ways they can apply to schools and gain financial aid.

Governor Beebe says his education was essential to getting him to where he is today.

"People in the state of Arkansas have been good to me," said the governor. "But the basis for it was the fact that I got an education. I went to Newport High School. I got an undergraduate degree at ASU. A law degree at University of Arkansas and consequently the doors were opened for me."
