Pine Bluff police investigate suspicious death
PINE BLUFF (KATV) - Pine Bluff police are calling the death of a man they found unconscious Sunday morning suspicious.
According to a statement from Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Lt. David Price, just after 11 a.m., officers responded to the 2800 block of S. Florida for reports of a man down.
Officers reportedly found 23-year-old Antonio Jenkins unresponsive on a couch. A Jefferson County Coroner pronounced Jenkins dead a short time later.
Lt. Price said Jenkins had gotten into a fight at a party in the early morning hours and family members took him home. The family reportedly told police they left Jenkins snoring on the couch, but were unable to wake him up later that morning.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of death.
