Pine Bluff police officer arrested for Lonoke County thefts

WARD (KATV) - A Pine Bluff police officer was arrested Thursday, accused of robbing a home in Lonoke nearly two weeks earlier.

Cody Wayne Cummings allegedly stole from a home on Evans Road in Ward on February 2 around 6:00 p.m. Investigators later found property had been stolen from another home in Cabot.

Cummings was arrested on charges of residential burglary, felony theft of property and misdemeanor theft of property. He was also placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.

At last check, Cummings was being held at the Lonoke County Detention Facility in lieu of $10,000 bond.
