Police: 2 found dead at home in Cotton Plant
UPDATE: Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division received a call at 6:30 a.m. Saturday morning about a double homicide in Cotton Plant. A town of under 700 people.One body was found inside the home, another outside. That home is located at 321 Ash Street. Neighbors and family members on Susie Street gathered Saturday afternoon to grieve about the town's loss. Part of that congregation was Ruthie Briggs, grandmother to one of the deceased. Briggs says that her granddaughter was 19-year-old Audrey Vine. Vine was with her boyfriend Howard Chapel when they were shot to death. The Arkansas State Police have been investigating this case and have no suspects or people of interest that KATV has bee notified of. COTTON PLANT, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas State Police say they've been asked to help investigate after two people were found dead in Cotton Plant. State police said in a news release that Cotton Plant police asked for assistance Saturday after officers investigating reports of bodies found one person dead outside a home on the town's south side and the second person dead inside the home. The names of the two were not immediately released.
