Police search for hit and run driver who struck 11 year old boy
Little Rock Police say they're looking for a dark green or gray Honda or Toyota car that was involved in a hit and run pedestrian accident at the intersection of 12th and Fairpark on Monday at approximately 2 p.m. Police would also like to speak to anyone that may have seen the accident.
A car, which witnesses say was traveling at a high rate of speed, struck an 11 year old boy, flipping him over the car and landing him in the driveway of the Mapco convenience store. The boy was taken to the hospital, but his injuries are not reported to be life threatening.
At least two witnesses reported that they saw the car strike the boy, but could not provide a license plate number. Those witnesses also reported the car, which sped off North bound on Fairpark after briefly stopping after the incident, was being driven by a Hispanic man, with a Hispanic woman riding in the passenger seat.
Surveillance cameras in the area are being checked to see if they can provide more information on the accident and the vehicle.
If you have information, you're asked to call the Little Rock Police Department Crime Stoppers Hotline at 501-371-INFO (4636}.
