UPDATE: 15-year-old boy shot and killed by officer

Update: Little Rock Police Sergeant Cassandra Davis says an officer saw two individuals in a parking lot breaking into a car, who subsequently ran to get inside a Honda Civic parked nearby.

Officer Josh Hastings stated he fired at the vehicle as it was approaching him in an attempt to flee the parking lot.

The shots struck and killed the driver of the vehicle.

Two other juveniles fled the car, and were apprehended a short time later.

They have been charged with breaking and entering.

The Honda Civic had been reported stolen on August 8th.


Little Rock Police Department reports one of its officers shot and killed one person early Sunday morning.

The family of 15-year-old Bobby Moore tells KATV they were notified he died from a gunshot wound by a LRPD officer.

Sergeant Cassandra Davis said officers were called to Shadow Lake Apartments a little after 5 am Sunday to investigate a suspicious person possibly breaking into cars.

Police say as a result, an officer fired his weapon striking and killing one person.

Two additional people were taken into custody.

This marks the second person killed by LRPD in the last 72 hours.
