Protesters in LR arrested as fast food workers demand higher wages
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Little Rock police say 11 demonstrators were arrested Thursday morning as fast food workers protested for higher wages.We're told about 22 Little Rock fast food workers went on strike at 7:45 a.m. and were joined by approximately 50 workers from St. Louis and some community supporters. The protesters marched in front of the McDonald's restaurant at 7th and Broadway in downtown. Some of the protesters sat in the middle of the street and linked arms and chanted. Police arrested 11 people for disorderly conduct. About half of those arrested were from Little Rock and the other half were from St. Louis.
