LITTLE ROCK (AP) - Arkansas Sen. Mark Pryor says he voted for a student loan bill that failed to advance in the U.S. Senate.
Pryor says he voted Thursday for the Student Loan Affordability Act. The proposal failed to get the 60 votes needed on procedural votes.
Unless Congress acts, the interest rate on some student loans will be moving from 3.4 percent to 6.8 percent.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
