Pulaski Co. jail closes again due to overcrowding
PULASKI COUNTY (KATV) —
For the second time this year, the Pulaski County jail closed its doors to non-violent offenders.
Sheriff Doc Holladay says the inmate population has gradually risen since the jail re-opened on July 24th. However, the last week has seen a marked increase of prisoners.
The facility is funded to hold 1,210 inmates. There were almost 1,300 inmates on Monday.
