NORTH LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Losing a baby is a traumatic experience for any expectant mother, which is why a local organization is doing what they can to help.
Saturday, they held a race to remember all the sleeping angels that died before they were born.
"We lost our baby July 3 of last year," said Stacy Dreher. "She was stillborn at 35 weeks. And we just came out today to honor her, in memory of her, to run this race, walk this race in memory of our baby."
Baby Tinlee is a part of the sad statistics. One in every 115 babies delivered are stillborn.
"After losing a baby, you feel so lost, so alone," Dreher said. "Knowing that there are other people out there that know what you're going through has been wonderful."
The race raised money for Mamie's Poppy Plates - a keepsake for the parents of the sleeping angels.
