Reddies Crack Top 10

Following its 49-14 win over East Central last Saturday, Henderson State has moved up to No. 9 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll.

The Reddies, 8-0 overall and 6-0 in the Great American Conference, took over sole possession of first-place in the GAC as Harding took to the road to beat previously unbeaten Ouachita Baptist by a score of 34-14.


Henderson State has won 10 straight games dating back to 2011, the second longest current win streak nationally.

Henderson State is outscoring its opponents by an average of 37.75 points per game, with the Reddies averaging 55.9 points per contest which leads the nation.


Henderson State has scored in 30 of 32 quarters this season with the Reddies scoring a league-best 39 of 42 times when in the red zone.


The Reddies will travel to Magnolia, Ark. on Saturday to face Southern Arkansas in another pivotal GAC tilt. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 6 p.m. The Muleriders will be coming off of a victory themselves as they defeated Southern Nazarene 47-14 and improved to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the GAC.
