Reward offered in search for Buffington

A reward is now being offered in the search for escaped inmate Timothy 'Bo' Buffington.

Arkansas Department of Correction spokeswoman Shea Wilson says up to $4,000 will be rewarded for the information that leads to Buffington's capture.

ADC is still working to develop new information and generate tips from the public.

Buffington walked away from his work detail at the ADC Pine Bluff unit on June 21. He stole camouflaged clothing, a 12-gauge shotgun, and extra ammunition. At the time of his escape, he had a shaved head and no facial hair.

Buffington had served 16 years of a 20-year sentence for the 1998 murder of his ex-wife.

Police say Buffington is armed and dangerous. If you know the whereabouts of Buffington, you are asked to call ADC at (870)267-6421.
