Ross, Hutchinson speaking to counties group

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Democratic gubernatorial hopeful Mike Ross and Republican rival Asa Hutchinson are appearing before a group of county officials from around Arkansas.The two candidates are scheduled to appear Friday morning at a forum before the Association of Arkansas Counties. The two former congressmen are running to succeed Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe, who is barred by term limits from seeking re-election this fall.Beebe is also set to appear before the group Friday.The governor's race is one of the most closely watched in the country, with Republicans hoping they can win the office after gains in the past two elections in Arkansas.
