LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Democratic candidate Mike Ross is reporting raising more than $306,000 last month in his bid for Arkansas governor, and has spent more than $1.1 million to air television ads this fall.
Ross on Friday reported ending the month with more than $343,000 in the bank. Ross is running against Republican nominee and fellow ex-congressman Asa Hutchinson.
Friday is the deadline for state candidates to file their monthly fundraising reports. A report was not immediately available for Hutchinson.
Ross reported spending more than $1.2 million, and his campaign said nearly all of that was to buy TV ads that will air in the final nine weeks of the campaign.
The two are running to succeed Democratic Gov. Mike Beebe, who is barred by term limits from seeking re-election in November.Copyright 2014 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
