LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Democratic gubernatorial nominee Mike Ross is reporting raising more than $296,000 last month, and spending more than twice as much as he brought in as he edged out Republican rival Asa Hutchinson in fundraising.Ross on Tuesday reported raising $296,196 in June, compared to $241,865 that Hutchinson said he collected. Tuesday is the deadline for state candidates to file their monthly campaign finance reports.Ross reported spending $653,365 and ended the month with more than $1.2 million cash on hand. Hutchinson spent $162,278 and had more than $1 million in the bank. The fundraising report covers the first full month since the two rivals won their parties' respective nominations in the May primary.The two ex-congressmen are running to succeed Democratic Gov.
