Runner injured in hit-and-run incident
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Police are trying to find the driver responsible for striking a runner with a vehicle then leaving the scene. Barry Livingston, 76, of Little Rock, left his residence before 6 a.m. for a morning run. Shortly after 6 a.m., another runner found Livingston unconscious beside the roadway in the area of Amherst and N. Hughes. Police say Livingston suffered a broken leg and a severe head injury consistent with being hit by a motor vehicle. Livingston was taken to a local hospital and is listed in critical condition.LRPD is asking for help from the public in finding the driver responsible. There is no vehicle information, but police are asking if any walkers, runners, or drivers may have seen a vehicle leaving the area of Amherst and N. Hughes.
