Southern Arkansas University student Marissa Aranda has vowed to shave her head to raise awareness about childhood cancer, if her Phi Mu sorority can raise enough money.
Phi Mu is attempting to raise $7,500 to help Creed Foster, 5, a leukemia patient, who is the brother of one of Aranda's sorority sisters.
Money raised will go to support the Children's Miracle Network and the American Childhood Cancer Organization of Arkansas. Sorority members are giving away bracelets to those who donate, in Creed and cancer patient Elijah Talley's honor. To donate online click here
Certain that they'll meet their goal, Marissa is planning her shearing Saturday at 1p.m. at the Riverfront Park near the Junction Bridge in downtown Little Rock.
Good luck Marissa, Phi Mu, and especially good luck to Creed and Elijah!
