Single-engine plane makes emergency landing at Saline County airport

SALINE COUNTY (KATV) — A single-engine plane made and emergency landing at the Saline County Regional Airport Tuesday and now the FAA is investigating what happened.Lynn Lunsford, a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman, said a Piper PA-28 carrying three people was practicing takeoffs and landings as part of an instructional flight around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Lunsford said during one of the touch-and-go landings, the aircraft made a hard landing, causing the left main gear to collapse. The three people on board were not injured.
