First Six Bridges Regatta since 1938 is this Saturday, August 30th

For the first time since 1938, the Arkansas Boathouse Club will host a regatta on the Arkansas River.

The Six Bridges Regatta will be held August 30.

Rowing crews will be on the water from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., but organizers say prime viewing time is between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Organizers anticipate about 400 participants for Saturday's race, which will take place between Murray Lock and Dam and the Junction Bridge.

Clubs will begin arriving on Friday, August 29, and viewers will be able to see them practicing on Friday.

The race is free to watch and there will be food trucks and vendors.
