Skeletal remains discovered in south Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after human remains were found in an area of south Little Rock.

Little Rock police say someone called authorities Sunday night after discovering skeletal remains in the 3400 block of West 33rd Street. Police spokesman Lt. Sidney Allen says detectives and crime scene investigators determined that the remains were human.

Police sent the remains to the Arkansas Crime Laboratory for identification and to determine a cause of death.
