Social Security Checks to get small increase

(KATV){}Social Security recipientswill get an increase in their benefits in 2013, but not by much.

The American Institute forEconomic Research estimates recipients can expect a bump of 1.5 to 1.7% intheir benefits. That's less than half of the 3.6% of living increase recipientsreceived earlier this year when inflation was higher.

The Labor Department willrelease its September inflation reading next week.

Those readings are used tocalculate the cost of living adjustment made annually to benefits.
