South Ark. man arrested after nightclub shooting

EL DORADO (AP) - Authorities arrested a Junction City man on suspicion of battery after a shooting at an El Dorado nightclub left three people injured.

Police say the shooting happened early Saturday at The Brick House. According to police, officers responding to a disturbance at the nightclub arrived to find more than 100 people gathered in the parking lot.

Witnesses told police that two brothers were shot. A woman was hit by gunfire in the leg and treated and released from the hospital.

Police arrested 31-year-old Bryere A. Hunter of Junction on suspicion of first-degree battery and possession of a firearm by a felon. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.

Police tell the El Dorado News-Times that investigators believe Hunter is 1 of 2 suspects involved in the shooting.
