Storm causes damage to homes and knocks out power

Heavy rain and storm that moved through the state Friday night damaged some homes in Jefferson County and knocked power out to many other around the state. At least four homes near Redfield were damaged by the strong winds including parts of roofs being torn off. About 2,000 Entergy customers were without power as of 10:30 p.m. Friday. No injuries have been reported because of the severe weather. Our meteorologist will keep a close eye on the weather this weekend and have any updates on severe weather or flooding.
