Study: Legalizing medical marijuana has lead to more kids accidentally ingesting pot

The State of Colorado is seeing an unintended consequence of legalizing marijuana for medicinal use - a jump in the number of children accidentally ingesting it.

The journal Pediatric JAMA found a "significant increase" in medical marijuana exposure in children after that 2009 edict. According to the study, the marijuana belonged to grandparents in most cases.

One researcher recommended medical marijuana should come in child-resistant containers and have warning labels.
