It pays to be healthy at Bethel Middle School in Bryant. Subway and the Jared Foundation presented Bethel Middle School with a $1,000 fitness grant to promote healthy lifestyles for students. Students tracked their eating habits and fitness activity for six weeks, then submitted their records for a drawing. 7th grader, Garrett Inman, was randomly selected as the Grand Prize winner in the "Fresh Start Challenge," and received a $250 Subway gift card. "This is like the first time I've won something like this. I'll probably just get however many $5 foot longs it will buy me," said Inman. The school will be able to use the fitness grant to purchase physical activity equipment and educational resources associated with the Jared Foundation.
