Sully Says: Nothing to lose

It was the signature call of the Bobby Petrino era.

It was the 2010 season, the 12th ranked Hogs were leading 5th ranked LSU 21-20 early in the 4th quarter. Petrino's Hogs faced a 4th and 3 at the LSU 39. His play call on that 4th down play had me calling him "Big Game Bobby" the next week.

They went after a young honey badger. {}Joe Adams lost the young corner with a stop and go move, and Ryan Mallett delivered a perfect pass. {}The result was a 39 yard touchdown pass that gave the Hogs a 28-20 lead. It was the key play in the Hogs 31-23 win.

"We didn't come to paint," Petrino said. "We came to win."

No painting allowed today.

The Hogs are a big underdog and they need to act like a desperate underdog. {}How about a reverse on a kickoff? Go for it all early in a short yardage situation. Use the two minute offense early in the game. Don't settle for three points. If you win the toss, take the ball. The longer the Hogs stay in this one, the more dangerous they become. Nothing is worse than a predictable loser.

Turn Tyler loose. {}Make first down a throwing down. Pass to set up the run. Tyler is the X-factor. LSU's last two opponents have thrown for more than 300 yards. Tyler needs to continue that streak today. Do your best to make Tyler's last game in Fayetteville his signature game as a Razorback.

This series has been full of memorable Hog finishes. How about one more? It's not likely, but it's possible. This LSU team has been highly successful but they haven't been dominant. There's a reason that the folks in Vegas have them favored by only 12 points.

Let this be "No Regrets Friday." Use everything in the arsenal - it's not like this team has anything to lose.
