MOUNTAIN HOME (KATV) - Two rural Mountain Home men were arrested Friday, accused of breaking into a home on Westridge Road two weeks ago.
The homeowner was out of town on December 27 when he was alerted by his home security system that someone had broken in just before 5:00 p.m. He accessed his home's security cameras and saw two men inside, so he called the sheriff's office.
The homeowner was able to give investigators copies of the surveillance video when he was back in town, which deputies said was key in identifying the suspects as 28-year-old Tyler Ray Bell and 32-year-old Jeffery Wayne Maller.
Both men admitted to breaking into the home, according to investigators. A drill was stolen from the home, but nothing else because the suspects saw the home's surveillance system and ran away before taking anything more.
Bell and Maller were charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property. Both are being held in lieu of $15,000 bond each.
The suspects are due in court January 16.
