Suspect accused of shooting mother and grandfather

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - A man is accused of shooting his mother and grandfather early Saturday morning.

According to Little Rock Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Cassandra Davis, around 2:30 a.m. officers responded to calls of a shooting on the 7300 block of Marcia.

Sgt. Davis said 25-year-old Justin Bledsoe shot his mother, 44-year-old Jacqueline Bledsoe, and grandfather, 76-year-old James Bledsoe, multiple times.

The suspect's grandmother was also home at the time of the incident, but reportedly fled and was not injured.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Sgt. Davis said the suspect's grandfather is in grave condition and his mother is expected to recover.

Police took Justin Bledsoe into custody with formal charges pending.
