Suspect sought in fatal double shooting

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Police are on the lookout for a suspect accused of killing one man and wounding another in a shooting Saturday evening.

In a statement, Little Rock Police Department spokesman Lt. Allen said around 6:30 p.m. on the 3200 block of Elam, 27-year-old Steven Roshawn Hayes shot and killed Shoncoven Smith after the two had an argument.{}{}

Hayes reportedly shot another man who was attempting to flee the scene several times. The second victim is expected to survive his injuries.

Hayes is wanted for first-degree murder, battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

Lt. Allen said Hayes should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as 5'5'' and 155lbs. If you know Hayes' whereabouts, you are asked to contact the Little Rock Police Department at (501) 371-4621.
