Taking the "plunge" for Special Olympics


Brave supporters of the Special Olympics took the plunge Saturday at the Pine Bluff Polar Plunge.This year's costume contest theme was "Honor our military by supporting Special Olympics." Prizes were awarded to the best costume, the individual who raised the most money and the team that raised the most money.The event was held at Regional Park and included a 5K run/walk and the very first Polar Bear Tug of War, which was designed for high schoolers.The Department of Correction Band also provided entertainment.
