Thanksgiving effort has seat belt focus for police
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas State Police say they will be cracking down on seat belt violators during the Thanksgiving holiday period.
Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 28 this year, and the holiday is regularly the busiest travel period of the year.
State troopers plan strict enforcement on Interstate 40, and will be working with other states along the I-40 corridor.
Agencies in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas are devoting one trooper to every 20-mile segment of I-40 during peak traffic hours, starting Nov. 25.Copyright 2013 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten or redistributed.
