Tip leads Lonoke Deputies on search for stolen items

      CABOT (KATV) - On March 15, the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office received a report concerning a residential burglary on Rye Drive in Cabot.

      The homeowner reported that several firearms, two lap top computers, a generator, a 2004 Honda Rancher 4 wheeler, and two hunting bows were stolen. The estimated value of the property totaled around $8,000.00.

      Two days later, Capt. Kevin McCoy received a tip. That day, March 17, at about 7:30 in the evening, Sheriff John Staley and investigators went to a home on Lisa Lane in Austin. They were able to locate the firearms and hunting bows.

      Further investigation led investigators to a home on Stringham Road in Higginson. There they found the stolen generator.

      The Honda 4 wheeler was later recovered at a home on Patty Road in Lonoke.

      Tabitha Rogers, 35, of Austin and 25 year old, Jonathan Presley of Cabot were arrested in connection with the burglary and theft of property. A 17 year old female from Melburn was also taken into custody for the burglary.
