Toddler drowns in bucket in Fort Smith
FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Police in Fort Smith say a 15-month-old girl is dead after drowning in a five-gallon bucket.
Authorities got the call Tuesday night that Paolo Borroso died after tipping into the bucket, apparently to retrieve some toys.
Fort Smith television station KHBS (http://is.gd/Y89Ok2 ) reports the child and her parents, Elvira Manjarrez and Francisco Borroso, were visiting relatives. As they prepared to leave, they started searching for the little girl.
The toddler's aunt found the girl in the bucket. Police say two small toys were inside the bucket.
Authorities called the death a tragic accident and say there was no foul play.
