Metroplan's "Imagine Central Arkansas" survey of top places and big ideas to improve the region is in.
For the past month and a half respondents have been telling Metroplan their favorite places in the region, and how improvements can be made. According to the survey, citizens value the regions parks and open spaces, and say they want greater economic and education opportunities, and more choices in transportation.
Some of the top "Treasured Places" people mentioned most were: The Big Dam Bridge, Little Rock's River Market, Two Rivers Park Bridge and the Clinton Presidential Library.
Top ideas for the future include, finishing the River Trail, creating a system of trains to connect places throughout the region, building a commuter train between Little Rock and Conway and adding more parks and natural spaces.
You can continue to give your input on the survey through November 30th by logging on to www.imaginecentralarkansas.org .
Imagine Central Arkansas will culminate with a new metropolitan transportation and development plan by late 2013.
