Traffic Stop Results in Large Drug Bust
PULASKI COUNTY - A major drug bust for sheriff's authorities is taking an estimated one million dollars worth of narcotics off the street.
Little Rock police assisted Pulaski County sheriff's deputies in a traffic stop on Wednesday that netted the find. An informant told law enforcement that Gregory Stuart, 48, was carry a large amount of drugs in his vehicle.
Inside Stuart's car, police found 13 lbs. of cocaine along with more than 72 lbs. of marijuana.
Authorities say this is one of their largest busts recently, and they feel confident they have kept this large amount of drugs from being delivered throughout the city.
Pulaski County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Carl Minden says,"This amount of cocaine is a large amount and it was going to be hitting the streets of Little Rock, so yes it means a lot to law enforcement to get it off the streets".
Stuart is now facing a list of charges, including possession of cocaine and marijuana with intent to deliver, along with a charge of delivery and possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear in court.
