      Trial set in July 4 capital murder case

      LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Trial for the man accused of a July 4 homicide is set for February 2013.

      Demond Montgomery appeared in Little Rock Circuit Court Tuesday. The 19-year-old is charged with the capital murder of Michael James, Jr.

      According to police, James walked into the Motel 6 on West 29th Street after he'd been shot. James was a North Little Rock native but was staying at the motel.

      Montgomery is being held in lieu of a $300,000 bond. He returns to court January 10.

      Trial is slated for February 20 and 21.
