Two businesses robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Police are looking for the man they say robbed two businesses at gunpoint early Wednesday morning.

The man in the surveillance picture to the left walked into the Comfort Inn at 4301 Roosevelt around 4:45 a.m., according to an employee. She said he held up a gun and made her hand over all of the cash in their register.

A witness said he saw the man drive away in a car with rounded tail lights - lights off - eastbound on Roosevelt.

About 30 minutes later, a man fitting the same description walked into the Shell Superstop at 7400 Cantrell Road and asked the cashier for a cigarillo. When the cashier walked behind the register, the suspect reportedly pulled a black handgun from his right pocket and demanded all the money from the register.

After grabbing the cash, the cashier said the suspect ran away towards an SUV across the street. He couldn't tell what kind of SUV it was, but said there was a second person inside.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call detectives at (501) 371-4660.
