Two former Razorback football players sentenced to jail time
Two former Razorback football players have been sentenced to six months in jail.
Marquel Wade and Andrew Peterson will also serve 60 months of probation and required to pay necessary fines.
Our northwest Arkansas affiliate 40/29 reports Wade and Peterson pled guilty Wednesday morning to one count of residential burglary. Maudrecus Humphrey is also charged in this case, but his court date was moved to October 31.
Wade, Peterson and Humphrey were arrested in May, accused of breaking into dorm rooms on the University of Arkansas campus and stealing laptops, DVDs, textbooks and more than $4,800 in cash.
Razorback head coach John L. Smith issued a statement in June saying the players would not be a part of the team this season.
