UALR student robbed at gunpoint

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) - Campus police at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock are on the lookout for a suspect who robbed a student at gunpoint.

UALR officials say two suspects approached a student near the Trojan Grill area of campus around 4:15 PM Wednesday afternoon.

After pointing a gun at the student, officials say the suspects took his laptop and fled to a nearby neighborhood.

University police later arrested 18-year old James Hinton, but the other suspect is still on the loose.

He is described as a black man with a heavy build, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black shirt, cut-off sleeves, and the letter "A" tattooed on his left arm.

University officials say Hinton is not a student at UALR.

If you have any information about this incident, you are asked to contact UALR police at (501) 569-9793 or (501) 569-3400.
